SABIC showcases range of polymer solutions with crossover utility vehicle

Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC) will take part in the International Plastics and Petrochemicals Trade Fair to showcase its range of polymer solutions. A highlight of the SABIC pavilion will be Hyundai's QarmaQ crossover utility vehicle. SABIC has helped Hyundai achieve several goals with the QarmaQ, including reducing part weight to lower fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions; achieving new design freedom for increased safety, comfort and aesthetics; and consolidating parts to lower system cost and achieve additional weight reduction. Due to the extensive use of advanced materials, QarmaQ is 60 kgs lighter than a comparable vehicle made with traditional materials.
