Strong line-up of local and international companies at Indonesia’s Intl Printing, Packaging and Plastics Exhibitions

Strong international attendance from both exhibitors and visitors is expected as the countdown begins to Indonesia’s leading exhibitions for the printing, packaging and plastic industries from 11 to 14 April at Jakarta International Expo Kemayoran, Indonesia. Two months ahead of its opening as the three exhibitions make headway on to an international platform, they present for the first time under the co-organization of Messe Düsseldorf Asia and WAKENI with the theme ‘going global in 2012. More than 300 exhibitors from 20 countries are expected and visitor figures are anticipated to reach 20,000. More than 16,700 visitors attended the three exhibitions which were last co-located in 2010. Running concurrently once again in 2012, INDOPRINT, INDOPACK, INDOPLAS, is a four-day trade exhibition for the synergistic industries and space bookings are still coming in very strongly from many Indonesia companies who are keen to showcase to a more global audience now particularly with the booming manufacturing sector. Similarly, “bookings from international companies have been extremely positive as interest in the printing, packaging and plastic sectors in Indonesia and the Southeast Asian region has certainly surged in recent years,” said Shirley Lim, General Manager of Messe Düsseldorf Asia.“We are seeing an encouraging marked increase in the total number of exhibitors, particularly international brand names such as KRAUSSMAFFEI TECHNOLOGIES GMBH who will feature their AX injection moulding machines and digital printing solutions provider LAYSANDER TECHNOLOGY who are interested in meeting Indonesian suppliers and establishing business networks in Indonesia,” she added. National groups and pavilions will also be a significant feature at the exhibitions, which include Austria, China, Germany, Singapore and Taiwan. “The German Pavilion, a first for the exhibitions, will feature 14 German exhibitors as they present their range of delivery and service solutions for various industries including; food processing and packaging, plastic and rubber, paper and printing. Germany is one of the foremost machinery suppliers for the Indonesian end user industries,” commented Sofianto Widjaja, General Manager of PT. WAKENI.
