PTT Group's polymer marketing arm- PTT Polymer Marketing, has made a downward revision of its revenue target for 2010 from Bt71 bln to Bt50 bln due to the suspension of PTT's sixth gas-separation plant in Map Ta Phut. This suspension will impact the feedstock availability, affecting production of high and low-density polyethylene (HDPE and LDPE) as well as linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE). The Thai major expects to sell 300,000 tons of LLDPE and 400,000 tons of LDPE as planned. However, the olefin plant of PTT Chemicals will not be able to provide feedstock for LLDPE and LDPE production because of the suspension of PTT's gas-separation plant.
