French oil services company Technip SA has been awarded three turnkey contracts for Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Ltd., worth €25 million, for the expansion project of a refinery in Mangalore. The contracts, which are scheduled to be completed in the first half of 2011 has been awarded for the Phase III Expansion Project to increase this refinery’s crude refining capacity to 15 mln tpa. The contracts cover the design, engineering, supply and installation of fired heaters in four major units of the MRPL refinery: the Crude Distillation, Vacuum Distillation, Delayed Coking and Petrochemical Fluid Catalytic Cracking units.
