Turkish construction company Tekfen Construction has been awarded a US$165 million contract to build a low density polyethylene plant for the Qatar Petrochemical Company (Qapco) in a 30 month contract.
In June Qapco awarded a larger $550 million engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for a low density polyethylene plant (LDPE-3) to German contractor Uhde.
