Thailand's PTT Global Chemical plans to shut its No. 2 aromatics complex at Rayong over June-July for maintenance, as per sources in Platts.
The complex, which can produce 765,000 m tpa of paraxylene, 395,000 m tpa of benzene and 20,000 m tpa of orthoxylene, typically shuts for 45-60 days of maintenance, but the exact duration for the June-July turnaround has not been decided yet, the source explained.
No maintenance shutdown has been planned for the No. 1 aromatics complex in 2017, the source said.
