Total announces force majeure for LDPE from Gonfreville

Total Petrochemicals France has declared force majeure on 9 March for low density polyethylene (LDPE) supplies from its Gonfreville site in northwestern France. LDPE “line 2” was shut down due to technical problems, and the duration of the shutdown is unknown. The company has also not made it clear through which alternative channels customers would be supplied.
