Since 1983, Kabra Extrusiontechnik (KET), a leader in the Indian extrusion machinery market has been in technological collaboration with Battenfeld Extrusiontechnik, Germany. In 2006, this partnership was further strengthened with acquisition of 14% equity stake by Battenfeld in KET. Technology agreement with Battenfeld executed in April 2006 has been amended recently to include technology from its group member battenfeld-cincinnati, Austria. With the latest initiative, KET has strengthened its foothold in the plastic extrusion industry. Together with American Maplan Corporation (also a member of battenfeld-cincinnati), the group is the largest global supplier of extrusion lines for production of pipes, profiles, films and sheet.
