Victrex Polymer Solutions is entering the Indian market in an aggressive strategic move designed to expand the company’s global footprint and extend market reach into one of the world’s most rapidly emerging industrial markets. Victrex, a division of Victrex plc, a leading provider of high performance polymers including VICTREX® PEEK™ polymer, VICOTE® Coatings and APTIV™ films, has appointed Padmini Petroplast Pvt., Ltd. as its distribution partner in India. Victrex anticipates good growth potential of its VICTREX PEEK polymer business in India. The country is very strong in the automotive, industrial, textile and nuclear industries. Earlier in 2009, Victrex opened an office in Mumbai to concentrate on new market development, but found that the vast size of India and the fact that the country’s manufacturing bases are scattered around the nation made it necessary to appoint a distribution partner. By appointing Padmini, Victrex has moved to ensure that its prospects and customers in India receive the highest level of customer support.
