Wittmann Battenfeld, is set to exhibit its new, powerful, high-speed TM Xpress series at Brasilplast (São Paulo, May 4 - 8) for the first time along with an innovative inmold labeling application for the packaging industry. On a TM Xpress 210/1350 with 210 ton clamping force, the production of an oval lid for ice cream cups with two cavities from PP within a cycle time of 4 seconds will be demonstrated. The new, powerful high-speed machine will be combined with an innovative IML system, which handles insertion of the labels as well as removal and depositing of the lids. Wittmann Battenfeld will use the event to celebrate mare than 40 years in Latin America and also has a service and spare parts center in Brazil.
Three models from the proven hydraulic will also be on display. On an HM 65/350 with 65 ton clamping force, the company will demonstrate the production of a POM component for irrigation systems with an 8-cavity mold. The new Wittmann Battenfeld web service will also be shown on this machine employing which experienced service engineers can contact a customer's machine directly via theInternet, if they have the customer's permission. The other machine, HM 300/1330 with 300 ton clamping force, will be manufacturing PP fittings. The mold will be supplied by the mold maker IFW
(Austria). The fittings with a part weight of 270 g will be manufactured within a cycle time of 72 seconds. The third machine in the series, PLUS 35/75 with a Unilog B2 control system is the entry-level model of the hydraulic machine series. On it, a PA component (1.05 g) will be produced, also for use irrigation systems. It will be manufactured in an 8-cavity mold within a cycle time of 13 seconds.
