National Petrochemical Industrial Company (NATPET), subsidiary of Alujain Corporation (Saudi Arabia), has started operating the Propylene and Polypropylene Complex in Yanbu Industrial City. The Complex is running at 73% of its capacity and 22,500 tons of high quality polypropylene was produced as per specifications. Production continues without interruptions and the Complex is expected to reach 100% capacity (400,000 tpa) polypropylene towards late May 2009. All these activities represent the pre-commercial operation stage and the company expects to enter the full commercial operation.
