About Plastiworld
Plastiworld
is a unique event which brings the Indian MSME plastics product producers and international buyer on a single platform to conclude business deals for exports. The event is organised by AIPMA, The All-India Plastics Manufacturers Association as a service to the Plastics fraternity in the country and AIPMA bears all the expense for the event.

AIPMA has partnered with FIEO – the Federation of Indian Export Organisations, which has a strong global network and expertise in identifying verified and credible buyers across the world.

The concept Plastiworld was inspired by vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shre Narendra Modi for making India a US$ 5 Trn economy and the vision of Hon’ble Commerce and Industry Minister to take India’s export share in GDP to 20%.

Plastiworld will be open for three days from 23rd Mar to 25th March. In this edition of Plastiworld over 100 sellers have registered and over 210 buyers from 47 countries are identified.  App 4000 one to one B2B meetings have been set up for the three days duration for discussing business deals. In addition, over 50 sourcing agents and institutional buyers have also been invited. Major retail brands from India like Reliance Retail, Ikea, etc are also participating.

More than 160 international buyers from oversees have been identified. They have been invited by offering free travel and accommodation at own cost of AIPMA without any financial assistance from Government. Plastiworld is solely financed by AIPMA with own funds for organising it.

It is interesting to note that AIPMA took up a massive exercise of analysing the data related to Imports of plastics good by 21 countries under 9 HSN codes to find out where the export potential lies and for which products. Export potential for Indian plastic finished products market opportunities in the top 21 importing countries were identified.  These top countries included USA, China, Germany, Mexico, France, Italy, UK, Canada, Poland, Netherland, Türkiye, Japan, Spain, Belgium. UAE.  Brazil, Chile, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya and Nigeria. Through this study, market size in the top 21 countries were identified and also identified the top 25 high-potential products in each country being imported.

The global trade in plastic finished products is valued at nearly 1.3 trillion US dollars.

India’s exports, however, are currently around 12.5 billion dollars which was less than 1 percent. The aim of AIPMA is to grow the export of Plastics end Products four times in three years.

Plastiworld is a step in that direction of four-fold growth of Indian Plastics products.

Plastiworld is on the lines of Canton Fair in China organised twice a year at very large scale for various products by the Commerce Ministry of China.  Plastiworld is a mini-Canton fair in India for Plastics products.

We are thankful to the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, who has extended financial support to encourage participation of MSME in this event.  60 MSME exhibitors will receive subsidy of up to Rs 1.5 Lac per participant covering   up to Rs 1.25 Lac for stall and up to Rs 25K for contingency charges. This initiative will make it much easier for smaller companies to enter global markets.
