CPC’s No 3 retrofitted naphtha cracker to start production in Q1-2013

CPC Corp is to complete retrofitting of its ageing No 3 naphtha cracker by next June, with commercial production slated to commence in early 2013. The retrofitting will triple ethylene capacity at the plant to 800,000 tons, and result in 20% energy saving. The increased output will help ensure an adequate domestic supply.
