Japan's October naphtha imports for petrochem sector fell 17% yoy

October naphtha imports for the petrochemical sector in Japan fell 17% in October 2011 vs October 2010, as per Reuters. October 2011 imports of naphtha for ethylene production amounted to 1,885,418 kilolitres (1,290,983 tons) last month, the trade ministry said in a statement. This compared with 2,260,294 kl (1,563,280 tons) in October 2010 and 1,555,850 kl (1,063,293 tons) in September 2011. October imports cost US$1,237,663,727, up from US$1,027,182,101 in September.
