Oil up by a dollar as Eurozone optimism boosts markets

Oil rose by about a dollar at the beginning of the week, supported by hopes that leaders in Europe will come up with solutions to the region's debt crisis. Oil prices have weakened with concerns about the euro zone crisis amid a series of poor economic US data. Brent crude oil futures for September rose to US$108.9.
