BaySystems™, the umbrella brand for the global polyurethane systems operations of Bayer MaterialScience, has incorporated under itself the polyurethane systems acquired from Stepan Company including its insulation materials used in appliances, water heaters, doors, roofs, picnic coolers and similar applications w.e.f July 31, 2008. Bayer MaterialScience LLC's acquisition of Stepan Company's polyurethane foam systems spells the expansion drive of BaySystem's already considerable portfolio. This deal includes complete buy-out of the intellectual property, know-how and customer lists related to the foam systems business covering United States, Canada, South America and Mexico by Bayer MaterialScience.
