Paraxylene plant status in Asia

Thai Paraxylene Co. has shut down its Paraxylene plant located in Sri Racha for maintenance turnaround, concurrently debottlenecking the facility to increase capacity from 140,000 tpa to 350,000 tpa. This is estimated to be completed by the end of March. Taiwan's state run Chinese Petroleum Corporation (CPC)'s No.3 PX-OX plant at Linyuan will be shut for a turnaround in mid August this year for about one month. The plant has production capacity of 250,000 tpa of paraxylene and 750,000 tpa of OX capacity. In line with results of a consensus with representatives of local citizens as attendants, Fujian provincial government and the Xiamen municipality have decided to move the PX project from Haicang District of Xiamen City to Gulei Peninsula in Zhangzhou City of Fujian province.
