SOCAR-Turcas-Injaz consortium that has recently acquired Turkish petrochemicals manufacturer Petkim, plans to almost double capacity at the plant. The new owners plan an investment outlay of US$5 bln towards capacity expansion at Petkim. The amount, to be invested as short term, medium term and long term, will be split as follows: US$2 bln towards production of new petrochemicals and US$3 bln towards refinery projects.
