Taiwanese Premier, after visiting the plant, has ordered suspension of operations of the Formosa Plastics Group's sixth naphtha cracker in Yunlin County, four days after a fire occurred on July 25-26. He was greeted by a sit-in protest of local residents outside the FPG petrochemical complex, while asking for a thorough check on the site and a health check up of Mailiao residents.
