Thai Glow Energy to supply 140 megawatts of power to Thai petrochemical plants

Glow Energy PCL has signed contracts to supply 140 megawatts of power to petrochemical plants in Thailand. Total value of the contract is 70 bln baht. Glow will deliver electricity and steam to the plants in the eastern province of Rayong from mid-2009 to early 2011. French utility Suez SA Glow holds majority stake in Glow. The company has a power generating capacity of 1,708 MW and 967 ton/hr of steam. It plans to add 380 megawatts of capacity in 2011 to meet rising demand.
