Japan's Tosoh Corp plans to bring to a halt, its sole naphtha cracker at the Yokkaichi plant as per Reuters. The shutdown is mandatory to conduct checks at the plant after identifying minor trouble with the unit. Restart of the unit post-investigation has not been specified, but could take about a week. A 7-10 day estimated shutdown time would translate to demand loss of around 30,000 tons of naphtha.
