Tosoh Corp plans to shut its sole 527,000 tpa naphtha cracker for scheduled maintenance for about 4 weeks from mid-March to mid-April, as per Reuters.
Its fire-hit No.2 vinyl chloride monomer plant at the Nanyo complex is under inspection from the police and the fire department. Restart of No.1 and No.3 VCM plants at the complex, shut since the fire last week, is planned shortly.
