According to US National Hurricane Center, Hurricane Bertha showed signs of strengthening and was likely to turn into a Category 2 storm. The storm was moving at 15 miles/hour towards the Atlantic coastline. However, Bertha is unlikely to reach the Gulf of Mexico, thereby having no impact on the US petrochemical industry.
