China's Zhejiang Shaoxing Sanyuan Petrochemical plans to start up a new 300,000 tpa polypropylene line at its plant at Shaoxing, in Zhejiang province, by end 2010, as per Platts. This will boost total PP capacity at Sanyuan to 540,000 tpa. Start up is scheduled for December, but the date is not fixed and will depend on market conditions.
Its existing PP plant was shut this week after an unexpected outage due to a power failure for about 3-4 days.
