June 1 saw the end of a month long strike at the Izmir facility of Turkey’s petrochemical giant, Petkim, after workers agreed to a deal with the company’s management, as per hurriyetdailynews.com. Nearly 1000 workers of the company went on strike on May 28, occupying the facility for better work conditions. Workers received a 6% pay raise and a bonus wage. Agreement details will be announced shortly.
