ADEKA Corp to expand capacity of one-pack additive blends at Abu Dhabi

ADEKA Corporation has decided to expand capacity of one-pack additive blends for polyolefin at the ADEKA Al Ghurair Additives LLC site located in Abu Dhabi. Production capacity will be increased from 3,500 tpa to 6,500 tpa and is expected to start up in mid- 2014. AAA was established in the UAE in April 2011 with the intention to produce and supply polymer additives to customers in the Middle East region. With a strong cost-competitive raw material position, ADEKA regards the Middle East region as an important market with high growth potential. In recognition of this, ADEKA is investing in the region and expanding production capacity. The Polymer Additives division is one of ADEKA's core businesses and following accelerated global expansion, now has offices or production facilities at 15 sites in 12 countries, including Japan, the U.S., China and France as well as the Middle East, and ADEKA continues to plan future investments.
