Leading provider of flexible packaging solutions, Amcor Flexibles recently announced that it has entered into an agreement to sell its specialist plant AF Camvac in Thetford, United Kingdom (UK), to UK based holding company Gil Investments. AF Camvac is a specialist plant supplying flexible barrier film mainly to converters and as such operates in a different market to our other Flexibles businesses. The decision to sell this site fits in with the company's review strategy to reposition our business and create a more focused product portfolio. As per a senior executive with the company, the decision emphasizes the company's need to focus its businesses strategically to deal with end user's in selective market segments. AF Camvac does not operate in the end user segments but is a profitable business.
