Aromatic IV project to be commissioned by year end in Iran

The Aromatic IV project by Borzuyeh Petrochemical Complex is slated to be commissioned by December 2005. The pre-commissioning stage, at the moment, includes testing pipes, furnaces, and other mechanical equipments like pumps and compressors. The Aromatic IV, with annual projected capacity of 4.479 million tons, is one of the largest production plans of its kind in the world and will be producing products such as paraxylene, benzene and orthoxylene. The feedstock will be supplied from phases 1, 2 and 3 of South Pars Oil and Gas Field Development Plan which includes 270,000 tons of gasoline and pyrolysis as well as 4.5 million tons condensate annually.
