About 1.7 mln tons of naphtha from Europe, the Mediterranean and the United States is due to arrive in Asia in January, as per economictimes.com. Despite these volumes, which are more than 2.5 times the average monthly seen in 2012, Asia is still expected to grapple with tight supplies. Demand is stronger-than-usual as most Asian petrochemical plants are operating at maximum rates and have limited alternative feedstock.
