As part of a Europe-wide reorganisation scheme, Basell has decided on a new structure that requires only a few key locations. This plan will lead to Basell closing its administrative headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. In the future, only finance services will be based in Brussels. The company also has no production facilities in Belgium.
To improve efficiency as well as operative functions, including planning, customer service and logistics, have been redistributed, mostly to Frankfurt and Wesseling, Germany. In the process, 35 administrative jobs have been eliminated.
