Bayer acquires 50% of BÜFA Polyurethane

Effective from April, Bayer MaterialScience will acquire 50% of BÜFA Polyurethane, to take full control of its joint venture partner. The polyurethane systems house is headquartered in Oldenburg. Bayer will acquire the remaining shares in the 50:50 systems house joint venture from Büsing & Fasch. BÜFA has already been integrated into Bayer's global systems house network which has the umbrella brand name of BaySystems. BÜFA's activities are geared towards systems for the production of integral skin foams, elastomers and rigid foams for applications in sectors including automotive, electrical/electronics, footwear, sports, leisure and medical technology.
