Indonesian PT Trans Pacific Petrochemical Indotama (TPPI)'s BTX plant continue sto be shuttered until mid October or early November. The plant has a PX capacity of 540-600,000 tpa, benzene capacity of 360-400,000 tpa and OX capacity of 120,000 tpa.
South Korea's Honam Petrochemical plans to close for a week, its Yeosu BTX facility to replace the catalyzer in October. Plant capacity includes 150,000 tpa of benzene, 80,000 tpa of toluene capacity and 55,000 tpa of solvent-grade xylene.
China's freshly operational BTX plant of Zhejiang Zhoushan Hebang Chemical Co., Ltd. has sustained operations at normal rates. Quality of the BTX products needs to be stabilised. Though the benzene plant has an annual planned capacity of 50,000 tpa, the company plans to sell 3,000 tons externally this month- for a start.
