After completion of a major maintenance turnaround, Brazil's Braskem has restarted its Sao Paulo steam cracker, as per a company spokesperson in Platts. The shutdown was a planned maintenance in line with the company's six-year turnaround cycle, and started on September 6 at the 700,000 tpa ethylene-capacity cracker. The restart processes commenced on October 11.
