The Centre plans to breathe a new life into the Rs 10,000 crore petrochemicals unit at Barauni. The decision to open a petrochemicals unit at Barauni was initially taken when the oil refinery was established there in 1964.
Revival of the project has raised hopes of a turnaround in this township known as the the `Ruhr of Bihar.'
