Cereplast, Inc., manufacturer of proprietary bio-based sustainable plastics, begin supplying its compostable resin for a new line of environmentally-friendly toys developed by Cadaco, one of America's oldest independent game and toy companies. Cereplast Compostables® resin is used in manufacture of Cadaco's Enviro-BLOX™ building kits. Cereplast Compostables® resin have bio-based materials sourced from corn, wheat, tapioca and potato starches, making them renewable, ecologically sound substitutes for petroleum-based plastic, replacing petroleum-based resins. "We are seeing more and more converters and manufacturers producing environmentally safe alternatives to petroleum-based plastic products," says Frederic Scheer, Chairman and CEO of Cereplast.
