US-based manufacturer of proprietary bio-based plastics, Cereplast, Inc., will supply Warner Manufacturing Company (USA) with bio-plastic resin for its new biodegradable Painting Accessories. Warner Manufacturing Company specializes in designing high quality tools for professional trade people and do-it-yourselfers since 1927. The company has selected Cereplast's Compostables® resin for its eco-friendly range of biodegradable Painting Accessories. Warner Tool needed a bio-degradable and compostable resin which exhibited similar mechanical properties to resins currently in use with flexural modulus being a significant factor for the new range of products. Other demands for the materials included melt flow and process temperatures similar to previous materials for maintaining cycle time.
