US olefins producer Chevron Phillips Chemical is restarting its Cedar Bayou plant in Baytown, Texas, after a planned turnaround, as per Platts. The 835,000 m tpa Cedar Bayou plant was taken offline for a planned 50- to 60-day maintenance in early September.
The company is flaring during the process -- including 14,187 lb of ethylene, 5,696 lb of propylene, 10,600 lb of benzene and 4,270 lb of butadiene, the filing showed.
