Chinese petrochemical sector’s gross output rises by 35.3% in first nine months of the year

Gross output in China's petrochemical sector increased by 35.3% year on year in the first nine months of the year. Enterprises of the designated size and above in the petrochemical industry in China saw their combined gross output surge to RMB 6.33 trillion , from January to September 2010, according to the latest statistics from the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation. This accounted for 12.55% of the gross output of the industrial sector. The federation expects the petrochemical industry in China to generate a gross output of RMB 2.28 trillion in Q4, 17.8% more in the same period of last year, bringing its gross output for this year to a total of RM 8.6 trillion, 29.5% more than in 2009.
