Clariant has opened an Engineering Project Center, North America, in Louisville, Kentucky. The new facility provides project management and engineering services for current and future capital projects, said Kenneth Golder, North American Region Head of Clariant.
The Engineering Project Center, North America, is responsible for managing major, ongoing and expected investment projects on the continent. The Engineering Center is part of the Clariant global engineering and technology organization, with the project management, complex engineering and chemical process expertise required for retrofits, new lines and new plants.
Engineering Project Center staff members currently are overseeing construction of Clariant’s new polypropylene catalyst production plant in Louisville, site of Clariant’s largest US production hub. It will serve the fast-growing polypropylene industry. The Engineering Center also is leading the second expansion of Clariant’s ethoxylation site at Clear Lake (Pasadena), Texas. It will provide the necessary further capacity to meet greater demand for personal and home care products for fast growing markets in the Americas.
