In a bid to satiate growing demand in the region, Clariant International plans to start a new masterbatch producing facility in the Russian republic of Tatarstan. A final deision is expected to be reached by end of the year. Planned to be located in Nizhnekamsk, the plant is expected to see an investment of €1.5 mln (US$2.2 mln). Nizhnekamsk is the heart of one of Russia's biggest chemical industry centres, where new oil refining and petrochemical facilities are under construction.
