Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd (CPCL) has announced the setting up of 150,000 tpa capacity polypropylene unit at Manali at an investment of Rs 1,156 crore. CPCL, a subsidiary of IOC, also plans to increase the capacity of the crude distillation unit and vacuum distillation unit of Refinery-III at Manali from 3 million tpa to 4 million tpa. CPCL will also be associated in the setting up of a re-gasified liquefied natural gas plant at Ennore Port, near here, as the lead promoter, along with Indian Oil Corporation.
