Despite a 4.6% on-month rise in Japan's ethylene production in December, the country's naphtha imports for ethylene production fell 9.9% on-month. The value of naphtha imports for ethylene production in December fell 1.4% to $543.9/ton, reflecting continued weak naphtha prices in Asia. All of Japan's 15 naphtha crackers were operating normally from November to December.
