Dow has declared force majeure on supplies of polypropylene (PP) from its plant at Wesseling, near Cologne, Germany. A mechanical problem has forced Dow Europe GmbH to close its polypropylene resins plant. Dow had acquired the near 200,000 tpa unit from Basell in 2001.
