In a move that reflects its strategy of growing its PU systems network and its position in differentiated businesses, Dow Polyurethanes plans to buy PU elastomer systems business Hyperlast with Autothane, an automotive suspension parts business, from British Vita. The deal does not include Hyperlast, North America., and also awaits regulatory approval. Currently, Dow Polyurethane (PU) Systems is a leading player in the field with 26 facilities across Europe, Asia, Middle East and North and Latin America.
