DuPont commences production of polyvinyl fluoride (PVF) at Fayetteville

30-Aug-10
DuPont has commenced production of polyvinyl fluoride (PVF) polymer resin at Fayetteville, North Carolina. PVF is a critical raw material used to make DuPont Tedlar PVF film, that is an essential component of photovoltaic (PV) backsheets. Increasing production at Fayetteville is part of DuPont’s multi-phase US$295 mln investment to more than double Tedlar film capacity for the PV industry. Startup of this second production line for PVF resins at Fayetteville enables DuPont to provide higher volumes of Tedlar film through 2011.
