Eastman Chemical Company has acquired a Chinese cellulose based specialty maker- Tongxiang Xinglong Fine Chemical Co., Ltd., with manufacturing facility located near Shanghai, China.
The acquisition will support Eastman's coatings, adhesives, specialty polymers and inks segment, specifically its Ensure™ line, by providing additional capacity to meet the demand in China. The acquisition will also help the company reach higher capacity and facilitate growth and demand for the cellulose based specialty polymers around the world.
