Russian chemical company Nizhnekamskneftekhim has selected Emerson Process Management to modernize its nine-plant complex received - Europe's largest petrochemical complex. Nizhnekamskneftekhim manufactures 60% of all the styrene and resins. The complex also manufacturers 100% of the country's polyethylene in a joint venture with international chemical firm BASF.
Emerson, which is currently installed in two of the plants its PlantWeb digital plan architecture efficiently monitors the production processes and requires less supervision of the plants. Emerson manufactures appliances and tools; electronics and telecommunications equipment; industrial automation and process control systems; and heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment.
