ExxonMobil’s PP metallization lines at Italy

To be equipped with more flexibility and responsiveness to growing market demand, ExxonMobil Chemical will instal two new metallization lines at its oriented polypropylene (OPP) films plant at Brindisi, Italy. The new vacuum metallizer lines have the ability to metallize a range of gauges between 12 and 50 microns at high speeds, providing outstanding barrier properties. The first line is set to start commercial production in Q1 2005, and the second line is due to start up a few months later. ExxonMobil has seven affiliated production plants: Three in Europe : Virton in Belgium; Kerkrade in the Netherlands; and Brindisi in Italy Four in North America : LaGrange in Georgia; Stratford in Connecticut; Shawnee in Oklahoma; and Belleville in Canada
