Formosa Petrochemical Corp. group's Mailiao port in Taiwan was shut earlier in the day due to Tropical Storm Talim and will remain shut until a storm warning is canceled, as per Dow Jones Newswire. The government declared a typhoon holiday starting from Wednesday morning from Yunlin county to Pingtung county in southern Taiwan, and Mailiao is likely to be shut at least until Thursday.
The company's refinery operations in Mailiao, however, remain normal, and there hasn't been any impact on production.
