Formosa Petrochemical Corp. has resumed production at its No. 2 ethylene plant in Mailiao shut since September 26. Formosa has restarted the facility on November 8. after 44 days of maintenance.
Formosa Petrochemical cut naphtha purchases and supplies of ethylene from its 1.03 mln tpa unit because of the shutdown. After the restart, naphtha demand and ethylene supplies have returned to normal.
